A Langley resident, Ms. Schoenknecht has a keen interest in the health care field. Her career as a registered nurse spans twenty-six years. Her commitment to community service is evidenced by her membership on the Community Health Advisory Board, and her past volunteer experience with the South Whidbey School District.

As your Whidbey General Hospital District #5 Commissioner, I am continually assessing community healthcare needs and responding as appropriate to ensure greater access to care for all Whidbey Island residents. I have been intimately involved in physician recruitment and the writing and development of multi-year business plans to ensure the hospital's financial viability.

Dr. Case has been involved with the Island County medical community for many years. A retired family physician, he became actively involved with the Island County Health Department as Island County Health Officer after retiring from the US Navy. He was also instrumental in helping Island County develop the Community Clinics on North Whidbey, South Whidbey, and Camano Island. Dr.
