Public Education

WGH EMS Dept. has a stong commitment to public education. We recognize the need and are actively involved in raising public awareness in our community with regards to preventable injuries, accidents, and day to day risk management.

We can work together with your organization to help develop a program to suit your needs. Please feel free to contact us at 678-7620, or make an appointment to visit our office in person.

Examples of Public Education and Special Events WGH EMS hosts or participates in

  • Substance abuse education in schools
  • Camp 911 (3 day summer camp for children, teaches basics of emergency care and accident prevention)
  • Elderly fall prevention
  • Bowl for Kids Sake (sponsored by Big Brothers/Big Sisters)
  • American Cancer Society Relay for Life
  • "Stranger Danger"
