Pediatrician Gabriel W. Barrio, MD, has served as Whidbey General Chief of Medicine and as Chief of Staff. In these roles he has acted as liaison between physicians, administration and nursing and contributed to improved medical protocols, quality assurance and patient safety. A strong advocate for vaccination and preventive medicine, Dr. Barrio educates parents and families about how to best support health through every stage of childhood. Dr. Barrio, who is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, is the first bilingual pediatrician to practice in Oak Harbor. He joined our medical staff in 2006.
