You're Going Home

Before You Go

You should make arrangements in advance for a friend or relative to drive home you. Someone from the hospital will escort you to the car.

Farewell

Whidbey General Hospital makes every effort to keep costs down while providing you with comprehensive, optimal healthcare - close to home. We hope you had a pleasant stay, and wish you a speedy recovery!

Financial Counselors

If you have not already arranged for your billing or insurance coverage, you or your escort should stop by the check-out desk in the main lobby. Our financial counselors can answer your questions about medical coverage. We know hospital care is expensive, and we want you to know we are committed to easing your financial burden as much as we can.

Preparing to Leave

When it it time for you to go home your physician will sign a discharge order. Your nurse will notify you when to prepare to leave. She or he will go over a list of instructions with you about prescription medication, physician's appointments, etc. These instructions will help you continue to get better at home.

We'd Like To Hear From You

We hope that the care you received met your expectations. The time spent in our hospital undoubtedly made some impressions on you. We welcome your comments, as they will help us in achieving our main objective - to give patients the best possible care at the lowest possible cost. Email us at wghosp@whidbeygen.org.
