Helene Lhamon, MD, has practiced emergency medicine at Whidbey General since joining our medical staff in 2007. She has served on the hospital’s Trauma Committee, which evaluates incidents treated at Whidbey General to ensure that our trauma care meets the highest quality standards. She has worked with other physicians and health care providers to ensure that the overall care in the hospital meets national standards of quality. Dr. Lhamon was the Emergency Department’s liaison physician to the 2013 hospital-wide electronic medical records conversion, which was implemented to provide greater speed, efficiency, patient safety and integration of care.

Assessment, stabilization and coordination of care for patients who require transport to another hospital for more specialized care
Collaboration with primary care physicians, hospitalists and specialists to manage the patients who come to the Emergency Department to assure continuity of care
