Individual outpatient nutrition education (Medical Nutrition Therapy-MNT) is available for patients with diabetes, cardiac disease, chronic kidney disease, weight management or other nutrition therapy prescribed by a physician.
Registered Dietitian Erin Simms, RD, CD, CNSC, CDE, is a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician and a Certified Diabetic Educator and participates in our Accredited Diabetes Education Classes.
Simms received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Massachusettes-Amherst and completed her dietetic internship at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Erin works in our in-patient and out-patient settings providing indivialized Medical Nutrition Therapy as well as supporting the nutrition needs of our Diabetes and Oncology programs.

Registered Dietitian Maggie Schuster, MS, RD, is a Certified Nutrition EducationSpecialist and a registered and licensed dietitian in Washington State. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition at Seattle Pacific University, her Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Eastern Illinois University and her dietetic internship at Saint Mary’s Hospital-Decatur.
Schuster primarily works with the in-patient population at Whidbey General providing nutrition assessment and medical nutrition therapy counseling.
